The MCITP Database Developer 2008 certification is for candidates who have one to two years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
With this certification you will be working in jobs in which database development is your main area of responsibility.
This certification requires only two exams:
1.) 70-433: TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development
2.) 70-451: PRO: Designing Database Solutions and Data Access Using Microsoft SQL Server 2008

Education – A bachelor’s degree in an information or computer related subject is desired. Experience in computer networking is important and of course network and database certifications will make you a high prospect.
Use virtual software to practice your MCITP certification. I like to use VMware Player which is free and I also run Microsoft Virtual PC.
You can download Windows 7 Enterprise and a free trial of Windows Server 2008 and easily create a home practice lab to improve your IT skills.
